[Alpha Biz= Reporter Kim Sangjin] Lotte Chilsung Beverage has put six 1,000-ton juice storage tanks up for sale due to declining juice consumption.
According to industry sources on the 29th, Lotte Chilsung Beverage has announced the sale of the six tanks. The decision was driven by a decrease in overall juice consumption, attributed to price hikes and concerns about sugar, as well as supply challenges due to climate change affecting raw material procurement.
Additionally, the company noted that with juice concentrates now being imported in drum containers, there is less need for large storage tanks.
The deadline for submitting bids for the tanks is set for the 13th of next month. As of now, no buyers have been announced.
