[Alpha Biz= Paul Lee] A temporary system delay occurred on the mobile trading system (MTS) of Korea Investment & Securities on May 6, affecting real-time data display for some users.
According to industry sources, the issue emerged shortly after the market opened, causing delays of around 10 minutes in certain MTS screens for a portion of clients.
As a result, updates on key features such as real-time gainers and losers, watchlists, and account balance inquiries were briefly delayed.
The incident coincided with a historic market milestone, as the KOSPI index opened above the 7,000 level for the first time.
The brokerage firm stated that the delay was limited and intermittent, affecting only 일부 고객의 MTS, and emphasized that there were no disruptions to login access or trading execution.
“We took immediate action, and the system is now operating normally,” the company added.
