[Alpha Biz= Reporter Kim Sangjin] Wemade has announced the withdrawal of its ambitious blockchain wallet service, "Una Wallet," just six months after its official launch at the end of last year.
Wemade's Singapore-based subsidiary, Wemix Foundation, stated on its official website on the 10th that the "Una Wallet service is scheduled to be discontinued by mid-September 2024."
The management stated that they decided to terminate the service "to provide a better service by improving user convenience in the future," without specifying concrete reasons.
The "Una Swap" service, which allows users to exchange virtual assets held in different blockchain currencies, will be discontinued early on the same day.
Una Wallet is the core application of Wemade's blockchain project Unagi, announced last year. Unagi is an "omnichain" project that connects various virtual assets and applications from different blockchains, including Wemix 3.0, Ethereum, and Polygon.
Una Wallet is also integrated with "Night Crow," a blockchain-based version that gained popularity when released overseas by Wemade in March.
