[Alpha Biz= Kim Jisun] The investigation into the Jeju Air crash has gained momentum, with key individuals barred from leaving the country and multiple locations subjected to searches and seizures.

On Thursday, the South Jeolla Provincial Police Agency announced that Jeju Air CEO Kim Eibae and another senior executive have been prohibited from leaving South Korea. CEO Kim has been identified as a key witness in the probe into charges of involuntary manslaughter and bodily harm due to negligence. Following the witness interviews, authorities will decide whether to formally charge him.

Additionally, police conducted raids at various locations, including Muan International Airport, the Muan branch office of the Busan Regional Office of Aviation, and Jeju Air's Seoul headquarters. These searches aimed to secure materials related to aircraft operations, maintenance, and facilities.

The police plan to analyze the seized documents to determine responsibility for the Jeju Air tragedy and hold those accountable.
