[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] SillaJen announced on the 22nd that it decided to increase capital by issuing new stocks worth 129.4 billion won at a board meeting. The capital increase method is a general public offering of disqualified shares after shareholders' allocation.
Of the procurement funds, 113.8 billion won will be used for operating funds and 15.6 billion won will be used for obtaining other legal certification rights.
SillaJen explained that the funding is aimed at improving the company's value in the future and securing funds for mid- to long-term new drug development in a stable manner.
It was also confident that once capital procurement was completed, the company's financial safety would be secured in the mid- to long-term and its value would be higher than before.
