[Alpha Biz= Kim Jisun] Lotte Chilsung Beverage is withdrawing from its vending machine operation business.
According to industry sources on Tuesday, Lotte Chilsung Beverage recently sold 1,800 vending machines and its direct operation rights to Workers High. These vending machines were previously operated directly by the company, aside from its rental business.
A Lotte Chilsung Beverage representative stated, “The sale was completed through a competitive bidding process and involved a cash transaction. A supply and sales agreement has been signed to continue providing Lotte Chilsung products to the 1,800 machines sold.”
The representative added, “Our vending machine rental business was already terminated in April last year, and with this latest sale, both the rental and direct operation businesses involving vending machines have now been fully discontinued.”
The company emphasized that it will now focus more on strengthening its core competitiveness as a comprehensive beverage company.
