[Alpha Biz= Kim Jisun] Naver and its labor union have reached a tentative agreement on a 5.2% salary increase for this year, while also deciding to terminate the existing "Stock Grant" program and raise annual salaries by an additional 8 million KRW.
According to the IT industry on April 1, Naver and the labor union concluded their wage negotiations (labor-management negotiations) with a provisional agreement to increase salaries by 5.2%. After applying the average 5.2% wage increase, employees will receive a separate 8 million KRW increase in their annual salaries.
However, this is a provisional agreement, and the final decision on the raise will be made after a vote by the union members, meaning the final increase rate may change slightly.
Additionally, Naver has decided to discontinue its "Stock Grant" program, through which employees were given company stock as an incentive twice a year. The company will also include holiday gifts worth 400,000 KRW for both Seollal and Chuseok as part of regular wages.
