[Alpha Biz= Reporter Kim Jisun] L'Oréal Group announced on Monday that it has entered into an agreement to acquire Go Woon Sae Sang Cosmetics, a company based in Seoul, which owns the popular dermocosmetic brand Dr. G.
Dr. G is expected to join L'Oréal Group's Consumer Cosmetics division. The brand will play a key role in meeting the growing demand for affordable skincare solutions, according to the company.
Founded in 2003, Dr. G has grown into one of South Korea's leading skincare brands and was sold to the Swiss retailer Migros Group in 2018. The brand is known for its targeted, ingredient-focused products, including the best-seller Red Blemish Clear Soothing Cream, which is highly regarded for its efficacy.
