Naver CEO Choi Soo-yeon Purchases 200 Million Won Worth of Company Shares

[Alpha Biz= Reporter Kim Sangjin] Choi Soo-yeon, CEO of Naver, has purchased approximately 200 million won ($148,000) worth of Naver shares on September 9.
According to the announcement, Choi acquired 1,244 shares at a price of 160,000 won ($119) per share. This move is seen as a gesture of responsible management.
Following his appointment in March 2022, Choi had previously bought around 100 million won ($74,000) worth of shares. In April of last year, on the first anniversary of his tenure, he made an additional purchase of shares valued at 200 million won.
In addition, Naver has been focusing on increasing shareholder value and creating a shareholder-friendly environment. As part of its shareholder return plan established in May last year, the company announced the buyback and cancellation of 1% of its outstanding shares (approximately 264.2 billion won or $195 million) on August 7.
