DI Dongil Prosecuted for Violating Accounting Standards

[Alpha Biz= Reporter Kim Sangjin] DI Dongil has been referred to prosecutors for violating accounting standards in the preparation and disclosure of its financial statements.
The Securities and Futures Commission (SFC), under the Financial Services Commission (FSC), announced on the 20th at its 20th meeting that it had resolved to impose penalties on DI Dongil (001530), including fines and the designation of external auditors for three years. Additionally, the former CEO and two former executives responsible for accounting were recommended for dismissal and also referred to prosecutors, along with the company itself.
DI Dongil, a Kospi-listed company operating in the textiles, clothing, footwear, and leather products trade, was found to have intentionally expanded the scope of its consolidated subsidiaries and misstated deferred tax liabilities between 2015 and 2019.
