[Alpha Biz= Reporter Kim Jisun] Ecopro Group's major affiliates experienced a decline in performance in the second quarter due to the "electric vehicle chasm" and sluggish demand, which have led to a downturn in the battery market.

On the 30th, Ecopro (086520) announced that its consolidated revenue for Q2 was 864.1 billion KRW, with an operating loss of 54.6 billion KRW. This represents a 57.2% decrease in revenue compared to the same period last year and a shift from an operating profit of 170.3 billion KRW to a loss.

Ecopro BM (247540) reported Q2 consolidated revenue of 809.5 billion KRW and an operating profit of 3.9 billion KRW, marking a 57.5% decline in revenue and a 96.6% drop in operating profit compared to the previous year. Ecopro HN (383310) also saw a 17.2% decrease in consolidated revenue to 46.8 billion KRW and a 67.9% decline in operating profit to 3.6 billion KRW.
