[Alpha Biz= Reporter Kim Jisun] On the 7th, Hite Jinro issued an apology from its CEO regarding recent off-flavor and cloudiness issues in its carbonated beverage product, Filite Fresh. As a result, its stock price dropped by 4.03% and closed at 22,500 won on the same day. It fell as much as 4.74% during trading.

This decline is attributed to the announcement of Hite Jinro's apology for the quality issues in its carbonated beverage brand, Filite Fresh, and the subsequent recall of the product. Filite is a carbonated beverage brand launched by Hite Jinro in 2017, gaining attention after its appearance in the 2020 film "Parasite."

The recalled products are Filite Fresh 355ml canned beverages produced at the Gangwon factory on March 13th and 25th, and April 3rd and 17th.

This product recall by Hite Jinro marks the first time in 8 years since 2016.
