SeAH Besteel Holdings Corp invests 213 billion won to build a special alloy production plant in the United States

[Alpha Biz= Reporter Kim Jisun] SeAH Besteel Holdings Corp and SeAH Changwon Integrated Special Steel Corporation will invest 213 billion won to build an annual 6000t-sized special alloy production plant in the United States. It plans to establish a special alloy base in the U.S. to actively respond to new demands such as aviation, space and petrochemicals as well as power generation and plants.

SeAH Besteel Holdings Corp announced on the 16th that it will establish SeAH Global Holdings (Inc), a US investment company, and SeAH Superalloy Technologies (LLC), a special alloy production company.

The target date for completion of the SeAH Superalloy Technologies is 2026. Currently, the site of the special alloy production plant is under consideration in consideration of the facility line design and logistics flow, and plans to finalize it in the near future.

SeAH Besteel Holdings Corp will participate in the paid-in capital increase of SeAH Superalloy Technologies, a U.S. special alloy production company, to invest about 64 billion won, while SeAH Changwon Integrated Special Steel Corporation, which focuses on special alloys, will invest about 149 billion won in SeAH Superalloy Technologies's redeemable convertible preferred stock (RCPS).

SeAH Changwon Integrated Special Steel Corporation oversees the entire project, including the establishment and operation of SeAH Superalloy Technologies's production facilities, based on its know-how in producing special alloys.
