[Alpha Biz= Reporter Kim Jisun] The domestic chicken franchise Genesis BBQ Group is reportedly undergoing a tax investigation.

According to industry sources on the 25th, the Seoul Regional Tax Office dispatched investigators to Genesis BBQ's headquarters in Songpa-gu, Seoul earlier this month to conduct the tax investigation.

Some speculate that this tax investigation may be related to the company's recent decision to raise prices. BBQ recently increased the prices of major products, including the Golden Olive Chicken, by 3,000 won.

An official from the National Tax Service stated, "We cannot confirm the details of individual tax investigations."
