[Alpha Biz= Reporter Kim Jisun] SK Square announced on the 25th that it has begun the process of recommending a new CEO by holding a personnel compensation committee within the board of directors as Park Sung-ha expressed his intention to resign.
SK Square's board of directors consists of a total of five subcommittees, of which the Personnel Compensation Committee manages and recommends candidates for CEO. SK Square plans to appoint a person recommended by the HR Compensation Committee as an in-house director and CEO through an extraordinary shareholders' meeting and board of directors.
SK Square recorded sales of 498.3 billion won and operating profit of 323.8 billion won in the first quarter of last year. Sales fell 14.6 percent from the same period last year, but made operating profit and turned into a surplus. SK Square was spun off from SK Telecom in 2021 and has subsidiaries such as SK Hynix (000660), One Store, 11th Street, Wave, T-Map Mobility and ADT Caps.
