[Alpha Biz= Reporter Paul Lee] The Fair Trade Commission is investigating Coupang, which is suspected of handing over promotional costs to subcontractors.
According to the industry on the 25th, the Fair Trade Commission is investigating Coupang's alleged violation of the subcontracting law.
The FTC is investigating whether Coupang has transferred promotional costs to subcontractors by cutting prices of some PB products with poor performance.
If Coupang abused its superior position and unfairly shifted promotional expenses, it could constitute a violation of the Subcontracting Act.
As soon as the investigation is completed, the FTC will prepare and send a review report (like the prosecution's indictment).
Meanwhile, Coupang is also set to deliberate on its "own preferential practices" that mobilized executives and employees to write purchase reviews of PB products and brought them to the top of the search ranking.
