[Alpha Biz= Reporter Paul Lee] NGeneBio, a NGS precision diagnosis platform company, announced on the 22nd that it will acquire TOPLAB, a CIA (Lab Standard Certification) lab in New Jersey, USA. It is the second acquisition of CLIA Lab following the acquisition of Clia Lab in California in March.

TOPLAB is a CLIA lab with sales of $ 8 million in 2023 through blood and drug testing services. TOPLAB is located in New Jersey, but has certification to be entrusted by most of the United States, and adjacent to New York and Pennsylvania, where there are many medical institutions such as large hospitals, pharmaceutical companies, and cancer centers, it is possible to cooperate with them and expand consignment inspections.

Through the acquisition, NGeneBio will quickly set up NGS diagnostic services based on TOPLAB's lab operation capabilities and sales network and explore related markets.

In particular, NGeneBio NGS precision diagnostic products and software have been certified as European in vitro diagnostic medical devices, and the performance and accuracy of large domestic medical institution reference products have been fully verified, and will be introduced early as TOPLAB NGS services to enter the US market.
