[Alpha Biz= Reporter Kim Jisun] McDonald's Korea will temporarily stop selling French fries. On the 20th, McDonald's Korea announced on its official Instagram account, "Due to unexpected issues within the supply chain, we are temporarily unable to offer French fries. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and will do our best to resume sales as soon as possible."
To mitigate customer inconvenience, McDonald's is offering a medium-sized cola with any burger purchase. Set menu orders are also unavailable, and the date for resuming French fries sales has not yet been determined.
Previously, McDonald's faced similar issues during the COVID-19 pandemic, experiencing difficulties in French fries supply due to global logistics disruptions in August 2021 and February 2022.
