[Alpha Biz= Kim Jisun] The Financial Supervisory Service (FSS) has once again requested revisions to Hanwha Aerospace’s securities registration statement for its planned rights offering.
On Thursday, Hanwha Aerospace disclosed that the FSS had asked for additional corrections, even after the company reduced the size of its planned capital increase from 3.6 trillion KRW to 2.3 trillion KRW.
In response to the renewed request, a Hanwha Aerospace representative stated shortly after the disclosure, "We will thoroughly review the FSS’s requirements and respond in good faith."
Last month, Hanwha Aerospace announced plans for a 3.6 trillion KRW rights offering — the largest in South Korean capital market history — triggering concerns over shareholder value dilution and a sharp drop in its share price. The FSS initially requested a revision, citing insufficient information for investors to make informed decisions.
Hanwha responded on April 8 by scaling down the capital raise to 2.3 trillion KRW, but the FSS has now asked for additional clarifications in the updated filing.
