[Alpha Biz= Reporter Kim Jisun] Hyundai Steel and CJ Logistics are integrating their logistics systems with their respective e-commerce sites to enhance collaboration. Hyundai Steel's inventory, freight, and delivery status for steel products sold online can now be easily viewed, similar to purchasing regular goods.
The two companies signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) at Hyundai Steel's Pangyo Office in Baekhyun-dong, Seongnam. According to the agreement, Hyundai Steel's online steel sales site, 'H Core Store,' will be integrated with CJ Logistics' freight dispatch system, 'The Unban.' The Unban is an AI-based transportation platform that matches appropriate carriers based on cargo information.
Through the integration of H Core Store and The Unban, customers can now track desired steel product inventory nationwide. Transportation costs for steel products can also be easily determined with a single click.
In the future, once the delivery information is integrated, the customer's payment process will be automatically completed upon receiving the goods, increasing convenience similar to purchasing items from online shopping malls. Both companies plan to further enhance transaction convenience by integrating their sales and logistics networks. Hyundai Steel launched its online steel platform in May last year, following Dongkuk Steel and POSCO.
