[Alpha Biz= Reporter Kim Jisun] SK Broadband will launch a combined subscription plan that includes both internet TV (IPTV) and Netflix membership at the end of this month. This comes about eight months after the two companies resolved a network usage fee dispute and formed a strategic partnership that includes the introduction of such subscription plans.
KT and LG Uplus have already offered bundled mobile and IPTV plans with Netflix for several years.
According to industry sources on the 27th, SK Broadband plans to release its Netflix-partnered IPTV subscription on the 30th.
There are currently four known plans, combining Btv All and Btv Standard with Netflix Standard (13,500 KRW per month) and Premium (17,000 KRW per month). When comparing the combined plan prices to the sum of the separate IPTV and Netflix subscription fees, the bundled plans are approximately 2,000 KRW cheaper.
