[Alpha Biz= Reporter Kim Sangjin] On the 24th, WeMade announced that it has signed a publishing contract with The9 Limited for "Mir M: Vanguard and Vagabond" (hereinafter referred to as Mir M) in China.
Mir M is a modern reinterpretation of the original "Legend of Mir 2," a pioneering game in the Korean gaming industry. In 2023, it received a local service name, "Mogwang Shuanglong," issued by the Chinese National Press and Publication Administration.
With this agreement, WeMade will collaborate with The9 to embark on full-scale preparations for the game's launch in China. The official service schedule will be announced at a later date.
Meanwhile, The9, founded in China in 1999, is an online and mobile gaming company that was listed on the Nasdaq in the United States in 2004. It develops and services games across various genres and aims to expand its business into blockchain and AI applications in various industries as part of its goal to become a global diversified company.
