[Alpha Biz= Reporter Kim Jisun] LG Chem will implement additional voluntary retirement to coordinate its information technology (IT) film business, which sold its facilities to Chinese companies.

The LG Chem announced on the 14th that it will receive applications for special voluntary retirement by the 30th of this month for production technical staff at its high-tech material business headquarters for more than five years of service.

Later, in the second half of last year, employees of the IT materials division in charge of the project were transferred to other divisions and special voluntary retirement was carried out.

For those who wish to retire for five to 10 years of service, 30 months of basic salary and 60 months of compensation for employees who have worked for more than 10 years were set aside. Student funds will also be paid 3 million won per middle school, 7 million won per high school, and 4 million won per semester for universities without restrictions on the number of children.
