[Alpha Biz= Reporter Kim Minyoung] Daishin Securities predicted on the 25th that LG Electronics' operating profit in the second quarter of this year will exceed the consensus (average forecast).
Daishin Securities predicted in its report that LG Electronics will post an operating profit of 1.15 trillion won in the second quarter, exceeding the 970 billion won consensus.
"The expected net profit (EPS) per share will also be raised by 5.7% from KRW 12,418 to KRW 15,369 this year," Daishin Securities said. "LG Electronics' separate operating profit will reach KRW 1.5 trillion due to mixed effects in the home appliance and TV sectors, with the operating profit ratio exceeding previous estimates."
"LG Innotek, which is subject to connection, is also expected to raise profits due to improved mix of optical solutions and rising exchange rates, while LG Display, which is subject to the equity method, is expected to increase supply of Apple-oriented iPad and iPhone 16 displays in the second half of this year," said Daishin Securities Co.
Daishin Securities added, "This year's share price net asset ratio (PBR) is 0.9 times and the share price return ratio (PER) is 8.2 times, so we believe that the share price is at the bottom of the history, making it an attractive value."
Investment opinion 'buy' and target stock price of KRW 140,000 remained the same.
