[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Paul Lee] The KOSDAQ Market Headquarters of the Korea Exchange announced on the 21st that the Fair Trade Commission has imposed a ban on MegaStudyEdu's business combination with ST Unitas.
MegaStudyEdu previously signed a contract to acquire 95.8% of shares of ST Unitas Co., Ltd. held by "BCC VERITAS AGGREGATOR, LP" on Oct. 21, 2022.
MegaStudyEdu explained, "The contents of the contract for the decision to take over other corporate stocks and investment securities are being discussed with the counterpart 'BCC VERITAS AGGREGATOR, LP', and we will proceed with the correction of the 'decision to take over other corporate stocks and investment securities' as soon as the contents of the contract are changed."
