[Alpha Biz= Reporter Kim Sangjin] Samsung Display announced on the 29th that its Quantum Dot (QD)-OLED technology has been selected for use in a premium studio operated by Finish Line, a post-production specialist company based in London, UK.

Finish Line is a leading post-production company responsible for the final stages of content creation for production studios and broadcasters. The company boasts a team of video and color experts certified by Dolby, and it has been involved in content production for global giants such as Netflix, Disney+, and BBC Studios.

Recently, Finish Line adopted the QD-OLED reference monitor 'XMP550' from global broadcast equipment company FSI for its premium studio dedicated to post-production work. The 'XMP550' is a reference monitor introduced last year by FSI, featuring a 55-inch QD-OLED panel from Samsung Display. This monitor has been widely recognized for its exceptional performance in color grading, the process of adjusting the color of video content, earning accolades from film and broadcast professionals. The monitor has also won awards from the Hollywood Professional Association (HPA) and Cine Gear.
