[Alpha Biz= Kim Jisun] KOSPI-listed Hanwha Aerospace announced on Monday that it plans to acquire an additional 22,375,216 shares of its affiliate Hanwha Ocean for approximately ₩1.3 trillion.


Upon completion of the acquisition, Hanwha Aerospace’s stake in Hanwha Ocean will increase to 30.4%. The transaction is scheduled to be finalized on March 13.


The company stated that the purpose of the stake expansion is to enhance synergies and strengthen responsible management.
