[Alpha Biz= Kim Sangjin] Musinsa Halts Sales of HUAYOU and DimitriBlack Products for 5 Days Amid Goose Down Labeling Controversy
Musinsa has suspended the sale of all HUAYOU and DimitriBlack products for five days due to a controversy over incorrect labeling of goose down content in their products.
According to fashion industry sources on Wednesday, Musinsa decided to stop the sale of these brands due to a violation of its safe transaction policy regarding false and exaggerated advertising.
Sales of HUAYOU products were halted on the 6th, while DimitriBlack's sales stopped on the 7th.
It was confirmed that the down content for HUAYOU's "Goose Down Jumper" and DimitriBlack's "ASI 2-WAY Puffer Heavy Duck Down Jacket" was incorrectly listed.
Musinsa plans to notify all previous buyers of these products about a recall and issue refunds.
Previously, Musinsa had recalled and refunded all sales of down jackets and coats from InTempoMood and GoodLifeWorks due to similar issues with down content labeling.
Musinsa has now initiated an investigation into the material composition of down products sold by its brands. The company has requested test certificates from all brands selling down and cashmere products on its platform, including Musinsa Store and 29CM.
