Fire Breaks Out Again at POSCO Pohang Steel Plant's 3 FINEX Facility, Just 14 Days After Previous Blaze

[Alpha Biz= Reporter Kim Jisun] A fire has erupted again at POSCO's Pohang Steel Plant's 3 FINEX facility, just 14 days after the previous blaze on November 9.
According to firefighting authorities, a report of the fire was received on November 24 at 11:18 PM, with the fire breaking out at the 3 FINEX plant in the Steel District of Pohang, North Gyeongsang Province.
Fire authorities confirmed that the facility had been previously affected by a fire, and there were reports of significant smoke. One citizen reported hearing an explosion before flames erupted, while another described a loud "bang" followed by the fire.
In response, firefighting authorities dispatched 21 fire trucks and dozens of personnel to the scene to extinguish the flames. The extent of the fire and damages have not yet been confirmed.
The 3 FINEX plant had previously experienced an explosion and fire on November 10, resulting in one employee sustaining burns and damage to equipment. POSCO resumed operations at the 3 FINEX plant on November 19.
