[Alpha Biz= Reporter Kim Sangjin] LG Energy Solution has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Bear Robotics, a U.S.-based autonomous robot mobility platform company, to supply cylindrical batteries and engage in technological collaboration to strengthen its competitiveness in the global robotics industry.

Under this agreement, LG Energy Solution will exclusively provide cylindrical batteries (2170) for Bear Robotics' service and industrial robots, such as the "Servi Plus" and "Autonomous Mobile Robot (AMR) Kati" starting next year. Both companies will also discuss specific collaboration strategies, including future technological partnerships.

Previously, LG Energy Solution unveiled its corporate vision, "Empower Every Possibility," aiming to diversify its product and customer portfolio into high-growth non-EV industries like robotics, maritime, and Urban Air Mobility (UAM). This supply agreement and partnership with Bear Robotics is expected to accelerate the expansion of its business portfolio into new application areas.
