[Alpha Biz= Reporter Kim Jisun] Lotte Rental announced on the 22nd that it will enter the long-term car rental market for individual customers in Vietnam in the second half of this year.
Since establishing a Vietnamese subsidiary in 2007, Lotte Rental has been providing commuter buses and long- and short-term rental car services to Korean and global companies operating in Vietnam. The company has branches in Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, and Da Nang, with a fleet of approximately 1,300 vehicles.
With this move into the business-to-consumer (B2C) long-term car rental market, Lotte Rental expects to expand its fleet to around 10,000 vehicles by 2028.
To support this expansion in the B2C long-term rental car market, Lotte Rental's Vietnamese subsidiary has signed contracts with major local car dealers.
