[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun & Lee Hyung-jin] Samsung Electronics will exclusively supply cutting-edge high-bandwidth memory (HBM) to Nvidia.

Combining Alpha Biz coverage on the 25th, NVIDIA will purchase Samsung Electronics' 'HBM3E 12H' as early as September.

NVIDIA has been confirmed that HBM3E 12H is supplied exclusively to Samsung Electronics.

An official familiar with the supply relationship between NVIDIA and Samsung Electronics told Alpha Biz, "It is certain that NVIDIA will exclusively purchase Samsung's HBM3E 12H as early as September."

At the GTC 2024 event, Jensen Huang NVIDIA CEO left a signature of 'approved' in his own handwriting on Samsung Electronics' HBM3E 12H real product.

Regarding the exclusive supply of HBM3E 12H to Nvidia, Samsung Electronics said, "It is difficult to confirm details related to the customer."

Meanwhile, SK Hynix has not been able to introduce 12H products due to some process problems. However, we plan to mass-produce 8H lamination HBM3E products from the end of this month.
