[Alpha Biz= Reporter Kim Jisun] Samsung Electronics ranked first in the US, the world's largest consumer electronics market, last year. LG Electronics followed in second place.

According to a market research company called Trackline on the 10th, Samsung Electronics accounted for 21% of sales in the US home appliance market in 2023. LG Electronics (19%), GE (18%) and Whirlpool (15%). Samsung Electronics and LG Electronics account for 40%.

Samsung Electronics also ranked first in terms of quantity with 19%. GE 17%, LG Electronics 16% and Whirlpool 16% followed.

Samsung Electronics also considered the most brands when consumers purchase home appliances with 32%. LG Electronics was 29% and GE and Whirlpool were 28%, respectively.

Samsung Electronics is speeding up its market share in the U.S. home appliance market with new products and services that have improved artificial intelligence-based connectivity and usability.
