Due to a system error on Interpark, some customers are unable to use their accommodation discount vouchers

[Alpha Biz= Reporter Kim Sangjin] In light of June being the travel month, it was revealed that some customers were unable to use accommodation discount vouchers distributed by Interpark due to a system error. Interpark compensated these affected customers with a 50,000 won discount voucher, acknowledging that the accommodation discount vouchers had already been depleted and were unusable.
According to industry sources on June 1st, Interpark distributed accommodation discount vouchers for regions that had already been closed off to some customers.
The special promotion offers a 50,000 won discount on accommodation products priced at 70,000 won or more in 12 metropolitan cities nationwide, issuing coupons from May 28th to 30th. The main event offers 20,000 won or 30,000 won discount vouchers that can be used for reservations of 20,000 won or more in non-capital areas starting from June 3rd. A total of 250,000 accommodation discount vouchers were planned to be distributed for both events.
On the last day of the special promotion, an issue arose as some customers received accommodation discount vouchers that had already been depleted from Interpark. Due to the structure of the vouchers being distributed on a first-come-first-served basis per platform, customers were unaware they had received unusable coupons and only realized the error during payment.
In response, Interpark decided to provide affected customers with a basic coupon worth 50,000 won, usable for domestic accommodations priced at 70,000 won or more. Interpark stated, "Customers who received incorrectly issued coupons were separately provided with coupons of the same value," adding, "These coupons cannot be used in conjunction with the main event coupons."
