[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] LGU+ has joined hands with global game company Mobirix to challenge the automotive game market. With this cooperation, the goal is to speed up the expansion of the infotainment business, one of the new growth areas.
LGU+ announced on the 2nd that it has signed a business agreement (MOU) with Mobirix to develop games for vehicles.
According to the IMARC Group, a global market research company, the global automotive infotainment market is expected to grow 8.3% annually from about $ 18.1 billion (about 24.415 trillion won) in 2022 to about $ 29.4 billion (about 39.6576 trillion won) in 2028.
Based on its accumulated infotainment development and operation know-how, LGU+ is planning to enter the automotive game field and secure differentiated competitiveness in the mobility business.
Judging that casual games that can be easily enjoyed in a short time are suitable for the vehicle environment, LGU+ plans to target the vehicle game market, starting with simple touch-oriented games.
