[Alpha Biz= Reporter Kim Jisun] A T'way Air passenger flight from Bangkok to Cheongju has been delayed for over 14 hours due to safety inspection issues.
According to T'way Air and the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport on the 13th, a defect was discovered in flight TW184, which was scheduled to depart from Bangkok at 12:05 AM local time. The defect was found in the "engine starter," a component necessary for starting the aircraft's engine.
T'way Air plans to resume the flight around 8:00 PM local time after replacing the defective part.
The 125 passengers booked on the flight are waiting at a hotel near Don Mueang Airport in Bangkok.
