SM Entertainment's affiliate "DearU" is strong in the 14% range after news broke that it will acquire the fandom community platform "Universe."

As of 10:49 a.m. on the 11th, DearU is trading at 33,300 won, up 14.04% (4,100 won) from the previous trading day.

The rise seems to be due to the news that DearU will acquire NCsoft's fandom community platform "Universe."

DearU is owned by SM Studios and JYP Ent. with 31.98% and 18.53%, respectively. Universe is a fan platform launched by NCsoft in 2021 and has maintained a three-way race with Weverse and Bubble.

According to the IT industry, Universe announced the termination of the service to its affiliates on the 10th.

Through this acquisition, Universe will end its service on the morning of the 17th and transfer to DearU's fan platform 'Bubble'.
