Kia's Indian strategic model Carens has been named the "2023 India Car of the Year." Pure electric car EV6 also won the Green Car category, and Kia won two of India's three cars of the year.

According to Kia on the 15th, Carens won the Car of the Year award. The Carens is a medium-sized multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) that can accommodate up to seven people and was launched in India in January last year. The car of the year in India is the most prestigious automobile award in the region, and 18 local automotive journalists select new cars released every year by evaluating their price, fuel efficiency, design, safety, and driving performance.

Hyundai Motor and Kia recorded the second-highest sales volume in the Indian market last year, and plan to further increase their market share by launching electric vehicle IONIQ 5s this year.
