[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] NHN Cloud announced on the 26th that it has attracted about 150 billion won worth of investment from a special purpose company (SPC) established by IMM Investment. 

 

This investment attraction is the first case since the launch of an independent corporation. The company explained that it achieved a corporate value of 1 trillion won and became a unicorn company.

Investment firm IMM Investment operates assets worth about 7 trillion won in the infrastructure investment sector. In the cloud sector, NHN Cloud has become an investment destination as a representative example.

NHN Cloud invests its secured resources in strengthening technology research and development (R&D) such as cloud, artificial intelligence (AI), and XaaS (Everything As a Service). In addition, the company plans to target the private market, expand its global business, and start a cloud data center business based in the region.
