[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] LG Electronics has decided to pay a basic salary of 550%, the largest ever, to its VS business headquarters, which succeeded in turning into an annual surplus.

According to the industry on the 27th, LG Electronics announced the performance-based bonus payment rate for each business headquarters to be paid on the 3rd of next month through an in-house briefing session at around 4 o'clock on the same day.

The VS Business Headquarters, which contributed to the growth of the battlefield business and the conversion to surplus, has been confirmed to be paid 550% of the basic salary.

LG Electronics' VS business division has been in the black for three consecutive quarters until the fourth quarter since it turned into a surplus in the second quarter of last year. As a result, it recorded an operating profit of 169.6 billion won last year and succeeded in turning into an annual surplus for the first time.

It is the first time since the start of the project that the VS Business Headquarters has been compensated for its achievements. Since its launch in 2013, the VS Business Headquarters has received bonuses in the form of incentives or consolation money from 2013 to 2021.

LG Electronics explained, "In addition to financial indicators such as sales and operating profit, it was recognized for its contribution to enhancing future growth and brand value and improving market status in the process of becoming a global Top Tier electronics company."

The H&A Business Headquarters, which is in charge of household appliances, has a 250-300% basic salary, HE Business Headquarters, which is in charge of TV business, has a 100-130% payment rate, and BS Business Headquarters, which operates B2B (Business-to-Business Transaction) business, has a 100-130% payment rate.
