[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] Orion announced on the 8th that it posted a record high of 2.8732 trillion won in sales and 466.7 billion won in operating profit last year. Sales rose 22.0% year-on-year and operating profit rose 25.1%.

Orion analyzed that Vietnamese and Russian subsidiaries led the high growth by increasing the supply of products and aggressively conducting business activities by expanding production lines and operating new factories. Despite difficult environments such as rising prices of raw materials and energy costs, the company posted an operating profit ratio of 16.2% due to efficiency and profitability-oriented management. Sales of Korean subsidiaries rose 16.3% from 2021 to 939.1 billion won and operating profit rose 7.1% to 140.2 billion won.

Orion aims to continue its growth this year by strengthening its product power and sales power. Vietnam, Russia and India are making large-scale investments to secure future growth engines. It was decided to expand and expand factories in Hanoi, Vietnam, and to lay the foundation for high growth by promoting the construction of a third plant.
