According to the duty-free industry on the 27th, Incheon International Airport Corporation received applications for general business rights for duty-free shops at 4 p.m. on the same day, and a total of five companies participated in the bidding, including domestic conglomerates such as Lotte, Shilla, Shinsegae, and Hyundai Department Store, and China's CDFG.

China's CDFG has also completed its application for participation. CDFG is a Chinese state-owned company that surpassed Korean duty-free companies in 2020 and rose to the top of the world's duty-free shop sales. However, it is known that he did not participate in the bidding for District 5.

Meanwhile, duty-free companies that have applied for bidding are required to submit business proposals and price bids by 4 p.m. on the 28th. The final bidder will be selected next month after the first screening of Incheon International Airport and the final screening by the Korea Customs Service in April. The contract period is 10 years from July.
