[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] Samsung Electronics has integrated semiconductor research organizations in Japan.

According to the industry on the 14th, Samsung Electronics established 'DSRJ (Semiconductor Research Material Fan)' to integrate and manage semiconductor research facilities located in Osaka and Yokohama, Japan through reorganization at the end of last year.

It is heard that the company will focus on researching various semiconductor chip designs, including image sensors, application processors (APs), and modems, which are run by the System LSI division.

Samsung Electronics is expected to maintain its local workforce such as Osaka and Yokohama and hire outstanding workers in line with future organizational changes.
