[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Paul Lee] In a lawsuit filed by Wemade against China's Shengqu Games and others at the Arbitration Court of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) in Singapore, the company has been confirmed to pay 257.9 billion won in damages.

According to industry sources on the 17th, Singapore's ICC ordered Shengqu Games and others to pay a total of 257.9 billion won to Wemade, including 1 billion yuan (about 196.7 billion won) and 320 million yuan (about 61.2 billion won) in interest.

Earlier, Wemade filed a software license agreement (SLA) and invalidation suit against Singapore's ICC in June 2020, judging that Actozsoft and Shengqu Games were infringing on the license rights of its online game "Legend of Mir 2."

Wemade will receive damages from Actozsoft and Shengqu Games according to the procedure.
