[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Paul Lee] Lotte Shopping announced on the 22nd that it will build its first Customer Fulfillment Center (CFC) in Busan with British online distribution company "Ocado."

CFC was the first to apply the cutting-edge logistics solution, the Ocado Smart Platform (OSP).

The first online Grossori CFC in Busan will begin construction at the end of this year and be completed by 2025. The area of the site is about 40,000㎡ and can handle more than 30,000 shipments a day.

Cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) and robots are applied, and all processes such as demand forecasting and inventory management are automated.

Lotte Shopping plans to open six CFCs nationwide by 2030, starting with Busan CFC. Lotte Shopping signed an investment agreement (MOU) with Busan City that aims to cooperate with CFC construction. In November last year, we signed a partnership agreement with Ocado.
