[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Paul Lee] Hyundai Motors' luxury brand Genesis unveiled the "X Convertible," the third model of the X concept series and the brand's first convertible concept, at the 2023 Seoul Mobility Show's pre-press event (Press Day) on the 30th.

The X convertible is a convertible concept car that Genesis unveiled in Malibu, California, last November. The X convertible is an electric car, and details such as motor and battery performance have not been released yet.

The X convertible adopted a long bonnet, a short overhead (distance from the front to the front of the car), and a long wheelbase (distance between the front and rear wheels of the car). The driver's seat is a unique form in which the display surrounds the operator and the driver.

According to Automotive News, a U.S. automotive magazine, Luke Donkervolke, chief creative officer (CCO) of Hyundai Motor Group, said he would hold an annual meeting with Genesis dealers in the United States earlier this year to mass-produce the X convertible.

If the X convertible leads to actual mass production, it will be Hyundai Motor Group's first open car.
