[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] The group BTS Jungkook is tearing down a two-story detached house in Itaewon-dong, Seoul, which was purchased three years ago, and building a new mansion on the site.

According to the Yongsan-gu Office in Seoul on the 5th, the government received permission from the district office in July last year to build a detached house in Itaewon-dong.

In December of that year, the government removed all of the old houses and reconstructed them at the same time. The new house has two basement floors and three ground floors, with a total floor area of 1161.04 ㎡ (351 pyeong) and a building area of 348.05 ㎡ (105 pyeong). The land area is 633.05㎡ (191 pyeong), and the building-to-land ratio and floor area ratio are 54.98% and 99.24%, respectively.

The design was by Tophertz Architects' Office, the construction was by People-centered Construction, and the safety inspection was conducted by JKCM. The expected completion date is confirmed to be May 31st next year. Considering the total floor area and building status, the government is expected to have spent at least 2.4 billion won on construction, supervision and design.

Jungkook bought the house in November 2020. The purchase price is 7.63 billion won. Since there is no mortgage on the registered copy, it is estimated that about 10 billion won was paid in cash from the purchase cost to the construction cost.

Itaewon-dong, which will be the new home of the political situation, is famous for being the largest wealthy village in Korea. 

 

SK Group Chairman Choi Tae-won, Shinsegae Group Chairman Lee Myung-hee, Nongshim Group Chairman Shin Dong-won and DB Group Founder Kim Joon-ki are residing there. Samsung Street Seungjiwon, the third most expensive house in Korea, is also here.
