[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] Six domestic companies have been listed as one of the top 250 global retailers, a report showed. Coupang ranked 74th, higher than last fiscal year, and E-Mart, the nation's No. 1 distributor, ranked 60th.

Deloitte Korea published this report today (13th) after analyzing the sales and trends of global distribution companies based on fiscal year 2021 (July 2021 ∼ June 2022).

According to the report, six Korean companies, including E-Mart (60th), Coupang (74th), Lotte Shopping (91st), GS Retail (162nd), Homeplus (215th), and Shinsegae Department Store (224th), were listed among the top 250 global retailers.

Among domestic companies, Coupang's growth was remarkable. Coupang ranked 74th out of the top 250 companies, up 24 notches from its 2020 fiscal year (July 2020 ∼ June 2021), with sales and other rapid growth compared to its analysis.

In addition, the average annual growth rate for the 2016∼ fiscal year 2021 reached 61.7%, ranking third in the Fastest Growing Global Top 10" among domestic distribution companies."

Wal-Mart was the number one global retailer, followed by Amazon and Costco.
