[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Paul Lee] Lee Chan-hee, chairman of the Samsung Compliance Monitoring Committee, made it clear that Samsung Electronics Chairman Lee Jae-yong's remaining as an unregistered executive did not reflect the position of the Samsung Compliance Monitoring Committee.

The Samsung Compliance Monitoring Committee, which met with reporters before the meeting, said, "No," when asked by reporters whether Lee Jae-yong's remaining as an unregistered executive reflected the opinion of the Samsung Compliance Monitoring Committee. Chairman Lee drew the line, saying, "Our opinions have not been settled yet."

Chairman Lee Jae-yong is the only unregistered executive among the heads of the nation's top four groups. SK Group Chairman Choi Tae-won, Hyundai Motor Group Chairman Chung Eui-sun and LG Group Chairman Koo Kwang-mo have all been named internal directors.
