[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] POSCO Future M signs a contract to supply cathode materials worth 30 trillion won with LG Energy Solutions, solidifying its cooperative relationship.

On the 26th, POSCO Future M signed a contract to supply cathode materials worth about KRW 30.2595 trillion to LG Energy Solutions for 7 years from this year to 2029. Calculating the annual average supply amount comes out to about 4.3 trillion won. It exceeds the annual supply of 40 trillion won for 10 years with Samsung SDI signed last January.

The products supplied by POSCO Future M are high-nickel NCM/NCMA cathode materials, which are key materials for batteries required for high-performance electric vehicles, and are supplied to domestic and overseas battery factories of LG Energy Solutions.

 

With this supply contract, POSCO FutureM will further strengthen its long-running partnership with LG Energy Solutions.
